About GazaSkyGeeks
Gaza Sky Geeks (GSG), established in 2011 by Mercy Corps with support from Google, with a mission to foster sustainable and inclusive tech-enabled economic development in Palestine. By delivering an integrated approach of developing the capacity of tech-services companies and increasing access to markets and providing large-scale training in specialized tech skills, GSG aims to grow the competitiveness of the Palestinian tech sector in the global market.
The core objective of GSG in the West Bank (WB) for 2024 is to revive the economy by assisting existing talent (individuals and companies) to improve their ability to regain income, whilst also continuing to train more young people to enter the sector. Activities will fall into 3 categories.
Outcome 1: Capacity building of Palestinian Individuals
- Specialist tech training for individuals to learn skills to earn income by working for local Palestinian tech companies, or by working remotely for overseas employers.
Outcome 2: Capacity building of Palestinian Tech Companies
- Training to employees in local Palestinian tech companies to help increase their specialist skills and become more senior.
- Capacity building of executives in Palestinian tech companies (e.g. company specialization strategy, sales & business development training, mentoring by overseas business experts).
Outcome 3: Market Access and Income Generation (for individuals & companies)
- Talent Matching: connect participants with local and overseas companies for mentors, internships, and employment.
- Market Access: help Palestinian individuals and companies secure mentors, internships employment, and revenue generating contracts.
- Digital branding and marketing support.
The Position (General Position Summary)
The Program Coordinator will provide programmatic, administrative, logistical, procurement, and data coordination support for the IFC Learn to Earn project under Gaza Sky Geeks. The role will support the implementation of short digital skills training cohorts, participant outreach and onboarding, training logistics, attendance tracking, certification support, employability activities, mentorship coordination, internship/project-based placement follow-up, and documentation of project results.
The Program Coordinator will work closely with the GSG Program Manager, technical training team, community and mentorship team, MEL team, trainers, mentors, host companies, and Mercy Corps support departments to ensure smooth, compliant, and high-quality implementation of IFC activities.
Essential Responsibilities
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively learns about safeguarding and integrates it into their work, including safeguarding risks and mitigations related to their area of work.
Practices the values of Mercy Corps including respecting the dignity and well-being of participants and fellow team members.
Encourages openness and communication in their team; encourages team members to submit reports if they have any concerns using reporting mechanisms e.g., Integrity Hotline and other options.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the implementation of the IFC Learn to Earn project workplan, including digital skills training, certification support, employability support, mentorship, and internship/project-based placement activities.
Coordinate logistics for short digital skills training cohorts, including schedules, trainers, venues/online links, participant communication, materials, attendance, and follow-up.
Support participant outreach, registration, screening, onboarding, and reserve pool management.
Track participant attendance, engagement, completion, dropout risk, and replacement from reserve lists.
Support training assessments, capstone/project submissions, feedback forms, and GSG completion certificates.
Support the certification pathway for selected participants, including registration, voucher/access coordination, progress tracking, documentation, and completion verification.
Support employability sessions, including CV/LinkedIn clinics, interview preparation, portfolio reviews, remote work readiness, freelancing readiness, and career guidance.
Support mentor recruitment, onboarding, mentor-mentee matching, mentorship follow-up, and documentation.
Support employer and host company engagement for internships and project-based placements.
Maintain accurate project trackers, including participant records, attendance, certification, mentorship, internship, feedback, and completion data.
Coordinate closely with MEL to ensure participant data is complete, accurate, timely, and disaggregated by gender, training type, and location.
Prepare activity updates, documentation, success stories, participant highlights, risks, challenges, and monthly progress inputs.
Prepare logistics, procurement, and finance documents needed for trainings, trainers, consultants, events, and participant-related activities.
Liaise and coordinate with Mercy Corps Finance, Procurement, Logistics/Admin, HR, and other relevant departments to ensure timely and compliant implementation.
Follow up with the communications team to highlight project activities, participant stories, and key achievements.
Conduct themselves professionally and personally in a manner that brings credit to Mercy Corps and does not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.
Travel to various parts of the West Bank for activity support and follow-up, including overnight stays when needed and approved.
Perform any other duties as assigned.

متطلبات الوظيفة:Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills
· University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Education, Project Management, Social Sciences, or any related field.
· 2–4 years of relevant experience in program coordination, training coordination, youth programming, employability, digital skills, or project administration.
· Familiarity with digital skills training, online learning, certification pathways, freelancing, employability, or the Palestinian tech ecosystem is preferred.
· Strong skills in MS Office, Google Suite, Excel/Google Sheets, Google Forms, trackers, data entry, documentation, and reporting.
· Experience coordinating with trainers, participants, vendors, partners, and internal support departments.
· Understanding of donor-funded project documentation, procurement, finance, safeguarding, and accountability requirements is an asset.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
