Position: General Practitioner

Type: Full-time/Fixed-Term Contract

Reporting to: Deputy Director WB Programmes

Salary: ₪4,950 - ₪7,425 / month

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team.

MAP is seeking a General Practitioner (GP) to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services within our mobile clinic in Jericho. Responsibilities include patient consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care, along with prescribing medications and coordinating referrals. The GP will ensure accurate medical records, monitor supplies, and contribute to health assessments, clinical audits, and quality assurance. Additionally, the GP will support health education, capacity-building, and medical missions to enhance healthcare access for vulnerable communities in Jericho.

The ideal candidate is a skilled medical professional with a strong background in primary healthcare, diagnosis, and treatment. They hold a medical degree from an accredited institution, have completed a minimum 12-month internship, and possess a valid medical license to practice in the West Bank.

The ideal candidate brings demonstrable experience in clinical practice, community-based healthcare, and working with underserved populations. Familiarity with MoH guidelines, infection control protocols, and electronic medical records (EMR) is essential. Experience in mobile clinic settings or humanitarian medical response is an advantage. Key skills include clinical data analysis, reporting, and conducting audits. Additionally, strong written and verbal communication in Arabic and English is required.
