الوصف الوظيفي:
Chemonics International seeks an experienced Senior Gender Equality, Youth, and Social Inclusion Specialist for the USAID-funded Trade, Investment, and Finance Activity in the West Bank and Gaza. The Senior GEYSI Specialist will work under the supervision of the TIFA Activity Integration and MEL Lead. S/he will be responsible for leading the design of TIFA’s gender strategy and ensuring it is integrated into all project components. S/he will ensure GEYSI best practices are used in activity design and work planning to maximize participation from women, youth, and other marginalized groups.

Responsibilities:

The Senior GEYSI Specialist key responsibilities includes, though are not limited to, the following:

Design TIFA’s gender strategy and ensures integration across all components
Identify market-driven and gender obstacles and opportunities for women- and youth-led and marginalized businesses, and develop strategies to address inequalities
Identify potential unintended consequences of project activities on both genders and propose mitigation strategies to promote equity.
Advise on activity design to ensure the gender, youth, social inclusion strategy is being implemented effectively
Engage with project staff, project counterparts, and stakeholders to ensure that activities addressing the participation of women, youth, and marginalized businesses are integrated into the final work plan and project management plan
Foster ongoing consultation with women’s groups and stakeholders to ensure buy-in and refine the strategy.
Assess project staff's ownership of gender considerations and identify obstacles to implementation.
Develop and facilitate training sessions for project staff on gender equality and social inclusion, focusing on recognizing and avoiding gender stereotypes.
Ensure effective monitoring and evaluation of differential impacts on men and women.
متطلبات الوظيفة:
Qualifications

Must hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant area.
6 years experience in gender equality, youth, and social inclusion programming.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess gender-related issues in project contexts.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with experience in training diverse groups on gender issues.
Knowledge of best practices in monitoring and evaluating gender impacts in projects.
Familiarity with the cultural and social dynamics of the West Bank and Gaza, particularly related to marginalized groups.
Fluency in Arabic and English required.
