The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is a national association with legal personality and is one of the components of the International Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. PRCS works in the field of humanitarian work, relief, health and social services.

PRCS has launched its Emergency Appeal to provide critical emergency, life-saving support to the people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including the continuation of the functioning of EMS services, health services, as well as support to public hospitals; care for and support the affected communities including IDPs with non-food items, health and MHPSS support, as well as water and food supply. Additionally, the provision of cash assistance to the affected population in Gaza Strip’.

 ROLE PURPOSE: 

These roles will support the emergency Appeal team to ensure the proper procedures are followed for PRCS programs and operations.

ob Title: Emergency Appeal Project Coordinator

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day activities in the West Bank (WB) within the scope of the Emergency Appeal Program (EAP), reporting to the Program Manager on the implementation and monitoring of activities.
Organize PRCS resources (staff, equipment, and funds) in the WB and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans; and based on implementation, continually adjust these plans in coordination with the Program Manager.
Follow-up with partners and key stakeholders on the execution of the agreed upon deliverables and program activities.
Support the development and implementation of an action plan including a PMEAL plan per each cluster within the EAP.
Follow up on the implementation of the activities in WB and conduct regular field visits to implementing locations. 
Work with the different departments on the implementation of the proposed activities and ensure timely expenditure of the allocated budget for the department under the EAP.
Coordinate financial transactions and monitor expenditure in collaboration with the Finance department by ensuring all supporting documents are maintained and filed.
Represent PRCS in all relevant cluster and coordination platforms and meetings.
Draft monthly and quarterly narrative progress reports and ensure the regular update of the resource mobilization table by the relevant team members.
Organize and conduct workshops and meetings relevant to the EAP response with stakeholders; and participate, document, and coordinate outcomes of meetings. 
Perform tasks that deemed necessary to achieve the objectives of the program as requested by the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

Required Experience and Educational Background

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies, business management. Advanced courses in humanitarian project management, leadership, and planning would be a plus. 
A minimum of three years leading emergency responses at the headquarter level, coordinating field activities with direct responsibilities over budgets and resources.
Strong technical skills and aptitude to lead on all necessary support processes for effective program delivery.
Ability to develop and foster relationships across internal departments and key external stakeholders
Experience in report writing.
Work experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and knowledge management.
Proven ability to collaborate well and deliver work in a timely manner.
Excellent Arabic and English language skills (written and spoken).
