Job Summary

TYO with the support of Qatar Fund for Development (QDDF) is recruiting a highly qualified and motivated accountant to fulfill the following responsibilities:

-    Document financial transactions by entering account information 
-    Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
-    Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
-    Secure financial information by completing database backups
-    Maintain financial security by completing internal controls
-    Prepare payment by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
-    Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements in Palestine and the United States by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
-    Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
-    Protects organization by keeping financial information confidential
-    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Primary Requirements

-    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finances, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
-    3 years experience in accounting, financial reporting, or related field
-    Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
-    Experience using QuickBooks and Microsoft software and the ability to learn new programs
-    English language fluency
-    Proven ability to work independently as well as perform as a member of a team
-    Commitment to high standards of quality and integrity
-    Commitment to TYO's non-political, non-religious approach
