Juzoor is seeking a motivated Community Health Worker (CHW) to support the day-to-day implementation and coordination of Health and Nutrition project activities under the Strengthening resilience in Conflict-Affected Communities and camps in West BankProject. Working under the supervision of the assigned Project Manager, the CHW will assist in planning, coordination, reporting, field visits, and quality improvement of project interventions.
The role requires initiative, flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic humanitarian and development context.
3. Key Roles and Responsibilities:
The Community health worker agrees to accept the following roles and
Conduct household health and nutrition assessments during scheduled home
Screen and identify risks related to nutrition, GBV, NCDs, maternal/postnatal health, child health, and MHPSS.
Provide health and nutrition education and counseling at household
Distribute and explain IEC materials, including GBV prevention and referral information.
Refer cases to health and nutrition protection service providers and follow up, as
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of visits and referrals. Develop detailed periodic activity plans, as required.
Submit monthly/quarterly reports identifying achievements, problems faced and proposed solutions.
Attend weekly, monthly and other programme-related meetings to discuss general implementation plans and share experiences and lessons learnt.
In all administrative practices, strictly follow the laws of the State of Palestine and Juzoor’sprotocols and policies.
Function as a trainer in the areas where the position holder has received Training of Trainer training.
Conduct community awareness activities and campaigns, including arranging for material distribution, driving to locations.
Conduct follow up visits for monitoring, evaluation and impact
Perform other duties or tasks as assigned or directed by the Unit
Being responsible for securing that all paperwork and official documents related to the project are properly submitted to management and finance for processing.

The position holder acknowledges that all information is confidential to Juzoor such as documents, manuals, designs, applications of all sorts, agree that these documents are the sole custody of Juzoor and should not be used outside Juzoor organization unless it is cleared by Juzoor management and the board of directors, as stipulated in Juzoor’s IT & Data Policy.
The position holder has read, understood, and signed off to her/his Terms of Reference (ToR), as attached.
The position holder understands and agrees to fulfil tasks related to her/his TOR, and forthe benefit of Juzoor’s activities, as requested by her/his immediate supervisor.
The position holder understands and agrees to read, comply and participate in any orientation held by Juzoor related to HR and Juzoor policies.

The Community Health worker position holder will be required to have met, as a minimum, the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge of primary healthcare concepts, including maternal and child health and nutrition, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and referral pathways.
Understanding of community-based health promotion, behavior change communication, and confidentiality principles.
Ability to conduct household health and nutrition assessments and identify vulnerable individuals requiring referral or follow-up.
Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse community members.
Skills in delivering health and nutrition education sessions and explaining IEC materials clearly to families and caregivers.
Basic documentation, reporting, and data collection
Ability to work independently in the field while maintaining coordination with health and protection service providers.
Cultural sensitivity, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach when dealing with sensitive issues such as GBV, mental health and disabilities.
6. Required Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 12 months of experience in coordination or programme support roles in the health and nutrition sectors
Bachelor’s degree in Community health, nursing, nutrition or a related
Good knowledge of health, Nutrition, WASH, and social sectors, including work with people living with disabilities.
Experience working in community-based or NGO programs is

8. Language Requirements
Fluency in Arabic and English, both spoken and written
9. Working Hours
Working days: Monday to Thursday, and Saturday
Working hours: 08:00 – 15:00, with flexibility coordinated with the supervisor
Official weekend: Friday and Sunday
