Duration: 10 months with possibility to be extended.

Base: Nablus

I. Specific objectives:
Drive the team and goods to the areas of operation as directed.
Apply MDM security and driving procedures.
Assist the logistics department with logistical and other arrangements related to events.
Collect quotations, invoices and receipts from suppliers.
Facilitate the payment of invoices to suppliers and any other providers.
Ensure security and safety of MDM Team on the site.
Drive MMT Truck when requested.
 

II.     MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Main responsibilities and activities of the Driver can change according to the organization of the work and to the composition of the team.

Programming
Drive the team according to the movement planning.
Drive goods, collect and/or distribute letters and documents when required.
Update logbooks on the basis of movements.
Inform the logistics manager during movements (back up) and accidents according to MDM security guidelines
Ensure all maintenance, constant cleanliness fully fuel of all cars
Implement the weekly assessment of all cars (Vehicles checklist)
Assist the Log Manager in the daily organization of office movements when required.
Provide the base staff with all the needed materials for implementation of activities in the field when required.
Assist field staff in the distribution of materials and other related documents when required.
Assist the logistics department with logistical and other arrangements related to events when required.
Collect quotations, invoices and receipt from supplier-s based on the request of the Logistics Manager
Facilitate the payment of invoices to suppliers and any other providers when required.
Reporting
Report immediately any technical failure / problem; carry out the maintenance of the vehicles.
Report about the consumption or shortage of the materials used in the activities (Juice, water, Snacks, stationery) if needed.
Report car accidents and security incidents (MDM security report template) within 24 hours
Security and Safety
Be in charge of the safety of the staff and the vehicles during movements and in the field.
Inform the direct supervisor before using any alternative roads.
Inform the direct supervisor immediately of any incident/ accident
Ensure that the team members follow the security rules during the movements or in any incident.
Ensure that MDM Cars are always equipped with Emergency First Aid boxes, spare wheel(s), all equipment needed to change flat tires and any other equipment/item mentioned in MDM vehicles checklist
Others
Perform relevant but minor logistics and administrative tasks as needed and requested by the direct supervisor.

III.    REQUESTED COMPETENCE/SKILLS/PROFILE
High School certificate required.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position.
Possession valid driving license for at least 3 years type C1 (Truck till 15 Tons)
Proven skills in dealing with security and safety matters and use of communication equipment.
General knowledge of mechanics.
Good command of English and Arabic languages, Arabic language and good English level are mandatory (both written and spoken).
Good knowledge of the geographical area.
Experience working with INGOs is an asset.
Ability to cope with difficult security context.
Strong commitment to learning new skills and willingness to be accompanied toward the achievement of new competencies.
Ability to work with a team as well as to work independently.
Ability to communicate any technical or non-technical topic with clarity and to share any important project information with the team.
Proficiency in Using Microsoft office
Above 24 years.
