Background
The Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) is a leading Palestinian Agricultural Development Organization that was established in 1986. Since its establishment, UAWC has been efficiently engaged in Palestinian land development, water resources & environment, poverty reduction and women empowerment, olive oil marketing, as well as other crucial rural development programs.

Job title: Fundraising Officer
Starting Date: Immediately
Location: - Ramallah, Palestine

Purpose
The fundraising component of UAWC aims to increase funding from donors, "international and Arabic organizations" in order to financially support UAWC’s activities and projects. He or she will maintain and improve UAWC’s international, Arabic and local visibility through innovative strategies. The fundraising activities consist of identifying funding sources, writing proposals, contacting donors and keeping them informed through regular communication and reports.

Tasks
-Plan, develop and administer UAWC’s fundraising activities.
-Prepare and update a fundraising strategy, identifying objectives and partners.
-Research funding opportunities and raise funds for UAWC programs.
-Develop and maintain good working relations with donor and local organizations.
-Write proposals, concept papers, letters of inquiry and presentations.
-Write grant reports to related donors, acknowledgment letters and other correspondences as necessary.
-Keep all donors informed on supported projects through timely and relevant reports and updates as required.
-Ensure that fundraising practices reflect UAWC’s mission, vision and priorities.
-Network links with relevant stakeholders and organizations to ensure continued support for existing and new initiatives.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience:

-BA degree in international relations or related field.
-Minimum two years of experience in fundraising and proposal writing.
-Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic.
-Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
