Role purpose:
Under the supervision of the Programs Manager, this role will support the programs department to provide personalized coaching and mentorship to teachers participating in the “Teacher Development Program” which objective is to conduct a comprehensive training program to build the teachers’/ fellows capacities through innovative teaching and learning methodologies, focusing on inclusive education, leadership, PSS, STEAM, Digitalization, and life skills. The supervisor will work closely with teachers to help them improve their teaching skills, reflect on their practice, set professional development goals, and implement effective teaching strategies. Additionally, the supervisor will assist in monitoring and evaluating the program's impact, contributing to its overall success and sustainability.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Coach teachers around diversity, equity, and inclusiveness to ensure they are making progress in their development and integrating equitable practices in their classrooms.
Providing feedback on daily lesson plans, weekly plans, unit plans, assessments, etc.
Observing teachers’/ fellows in their classrooms to understand teacher proficiency, student learning and classroom culture.
Create differentiated support plans based on the needs of teachers’/ fellows.
Facilitate small group sessions and design learning experiences that enhance teachers’/ fellows’ efficacy and create communities of collaboration.
Help teachers’/ fellows understand the school environment in which they teach, and support them to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, other colleagues, and other partners within the school.
Support teachers’/ fellows in setting long-term goals and benchmarks for their own development in addition to that of their students.
Supporting with key organizational priorities like the Summer Institute, selection, and outreachfor the program.
Conduct field visits to teachers’/ fellows at their school.
Develop an M&E matrix to measure the outcomes and progress of teachers’/ fellows.
Completing any necessary reporting and documentation required.
Collaborating and sharing best practices within and across the program department.
Any other tasks as requested by the Programs Manager.
متطلبات الوظيفة:Job qualifications:
Master’s degree in education, educational administration, or any other related field.
At least 5 years’ experience in coaching or mentoring with NGOs in the education field.
Deep understanding of the educational context in Palestine.
Expertise in the domain of primary education and providing mentorship and support to teachers at this level.
Required skills and competencies:
Deep understanding of teaching and learning principles, instructional strategies, and educational trends to provide relevant and meaningful support to teachers.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
Fluency in Arabic and English languages.
Data analysis skills related to teachers’ effectiveness, and program outcomes to inform decision-making.
Report writing skills.
Adaptability and flexibility when dealing with teachers based on their individual needs and circumstances.
Work collaboratively with teachers, program coordinators, and other stakeholders
Compliance with Teach for Palestine procedures and regulations, adhering to its principles according to the manuals and policies.
